and manage the existing and future investment of the Royal Government of Bhutan for long term benefit

ü Need to fulfill needs of the people especially under-privileged
- In 2007, upon Royal command, the Forestry Development Corporation Ltd was transformed into NRDCL
- Apart from timber, the reforms brought sand and stones under the wing of NRDCL
- Mandated to ensure continued supply of stones, sand
and timber at affordable price
- Symbolizes His Majesty’s mental frame of
sustainability and equity with the grant scheme of economic development
- Through this reform, His Majesty’s vision of a
house for every Bhutanese was aligned since everyone can afford
- His Majesty’s vision was not to focus on the profit but for a service delivery, good management and accountability transparency, accessibility and pricing of raw materials.
- Sacred Land Kidu-The Divine Intervention
- His Majesty commanded to the National Land
Commission Secretariat on September 24, 2007 about the land reforms
- His Majesty aims to uplift poverty, bridge the gap
between the haves and have-nots
- Done by His Majesty himself under Office of Gyalpoi
Zimpon and its regional offices
- To resolve long standing land issues of excess lands
- The NLCS carried out the National Cadastral Resurvey
from June 2008 till December 2013
- As of December 11, 2016, His Majesty granted over
132, 177 acres of land to 112,749 people which is one than one acre to one
individual
